_lorilovesfood@_lorilovesfood Mid-Autumn Festival is one of my favorite time of year because it means celebrating with decadent sweet mooncakes. Traditionally, families enjoy this at night as they gaze upon the full and bright moon 🌕 I prefer purchasing mooncakes from local bakeries that actually make them. A real added bonus is if they don’t use any imported ingredients. I stay away from the imported boxed ones that all the Asian markets sell. Only fairly recently did I learn how high in calories, sugar and saturated fat these really are. Most people only have maybe a quarter size. I guess it’s like eating a cheesecake. BUT, I always enjoy an entire cake all by myself in one sitting 🤪 Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 🥮 #mooncake #midautumn #midautumnfestival
