The usual applause lines. Instead, after being pushed, he snaps and tells the truth as he sees it. It’s not the greatest country in the world. That’s my answer. ⠀ Then he backs it up with a barrage of uncomfortable facts. The country isn’t first in literacy, math, science, or life expectancy. It leads the world in only a few categories, and not the ones anyone brags about. The room goes silent. Nobody wanted to hear it. But he says it anyway. ⠀ Then comes the turn that makes the speech land. He doesn’t stop at tearing things down. He says we sure used to be great. We solved problems. We aspired to intelligence instead of belittling it. @ele.e.pantera_26 I'm amazed how radical it is for people to believe or state that America isn't the greatest nation in the world. No country is the greatest and one that claims to be so definitely falls short in humility. It's a shame that a nation with such aspirations is so arrogant...

@conciergelakegeorge Like it every time I see it! People don’t realize how real of a decline the country is in (not to blame either political party, but all politicians) We need a big shift to ways of the past that worked coupled with a modern mindset…. And some work ethic… or the future looks scary. Edit: this video has some of the best parts cut out…
