I ran 58 min run w/ intervals. I had 120 calories/ 30 g carbs/ 560 mg sodium, in about 14 oz water AND i lost 2 lbs of my body weight in sweat (i sweat a lot) The factors include 85F, 75% humidity and of course zone 4 efforts. This is an example where classic sports nutrition has nuance and requires you to look at individual factors. It’s my professional opinion that you get used to fueling and hydrating even on shorter or easier sessions both for physiological AND psychological adaptations 👍🏼 #sportsnutrition #endurancefuel #marathontraining #tritraining

@getsaltysyrup Yes! 🙌

@meganefeeney Also, turns out fueling makes hard sessions feel less 😬😬😬. Fuel!

@wiscorunnerkj And let’s not forget body size. I’m at least 20# heavier than the “standard” running size a lot of these studies work with. Proudly taking in a few extra carbs to make it through the workout ✌️

@lizzym24 I have an interval run planned for tomorrow - should be less than an hour, but I’ll be pushing the pace for more than half my time out there. *** Reminder to include that fuel***

@juicylucy182 👏👏Say it again louder for all the men who comment on women's running posts saying they run a marathon without any fuel and you shouldn't need it 🫠🫠🫠

@hayley_runs I love this. Especially in this Florida heat and humidity. I feel like I need extra on my runs this week
