About Pantone
PANTONE (pantone), the global authority on color communication, recently announced 224 new shades for the Pantone Matching System alongside its 2026 Color of the Year, Cloud Dancer. The soft white hue PANTONE 11-4201 was unveiled in December 2025 as a symbol of calm amid a noisy world, sparking mixed reactions from designers and creatives.
The company also expanded its library to nearly 9,000 colors in September 2026, reflecting a shift toward bolder maximalism in fashion and design. Pantone described the additions as emotional, personality-driven tones for graphic and product applications.
PANTONE’s Instagram showcases the new palette with autumn leaf visuals and a 3D “NEW COLORS” graphic, targeting designers and brands embracing expressive, saturated color trends.
