i spent three months making everything matter less. it’s the only reason any of it worked. i wanted the work to reach people, so every post got everything i had. which meant i made almost nothing. i wanted every proposal to land, so i priced low enough that it would. same mechanic in both. the shift wasn’t discipline or a better system. i took the weight off. one attempt in a long experiment instead of a referendum on me. you’ll find this in a lot of books under a lot of names — wu wei, non-attachment, excess potential. same observation every time: wanting something too badly gets in the way of getting it. i think that’s real. it also shows up without any of that language. importance makes you slow and careful. speed wins, because speed learns.
