everyone told me my life was the dream. and it was. that was the problem Bali. sun every day, everything easy. and somewhere in all that good it went… quiet. same places, same routes, same hours. i wasn’t unhappy. i just stopped choosing. the days chose for me so when my 30th came up i didn’t want a party. booked a ticket to Europe the day after the idea. with no plan. just go see family and friends Paris first. friends i’d missed. finally stood in my friend’s restaurant i’d been hearing about for a year. january streets, cold in my hands, croissants, loved it turned 30 in Bucharest. no party, just a quiet dinner with my parents and a friend. snow under my feet, a sound i hadn’t heard in 6 years. walked into a church for the first time since i left Europe Barcelona after, Bali friends who moved. then Geneva, a client who became a real friend somewhere in there it hit me… i have people on every continent now. didn’t plan that. happened one yes at a time i’ve been wanting to post this for months. too “busy” to sit down and write it which is kind of the whole thing
