What's new with Micron Technology's massive construction project in the town of Clay? 👀 Syracuse.com reporter Glenn Coin is here to give an update. In July, construction workers started pouring concrete for the company's first chipmaking plant. "They plan to build up to four factories there. And if they do, they will use six times as much concrete as it took to build the Pentagon," Coin said. "So the amount of concrete they're pouring is staggering." With memory chips in high demand amid the AI boom, Micron — the only maker of memory chips in the U.S. — is working to meet the need. And that has meant record profits for Micron. But not all news is cheery for the company. Micron is facing a lawsuit from Clay neighbors backed by a national labor group.
