Fans across the Volunteer State are celebrating the country music icon on Sept. 25, or 9/25, a fitting nod to one of her biggest hits, “9 to 5.” Nashville is going all in, with pink lights, Dolly tributes and venues preparing to play “9 to 5” at 5 p.m. And the tribute could become a yearly Tennessee tradition. State Sen. Jessie Seal has proposed legislation officially designating Sept. 25 as “9 to 5 Day,” with lawmakers set to consider the measure in 2027.
