@dawn_75_ This post is so tone deaf. You have the nerve to talk about safety and mental health when you got rid of all the wellness and EML social workers and most PPWs, eliminated SROs, school buildings are literally falling apart around students & staff, cut the main part of CTF, got rid of a ton of SpEd & educational support positions (and I could go on). You think those things help with mental health for both students and staff? You think those things help kids and staff feel safe? All while you pull in over $400k a year and get to sit in your central office ivory tower not having to worry about a classmate bringing a gun or knife to school or jumping you in a bathroom. You should really stay off social media because it ain’t doin' you any favors.

@cocinadeluly Montgomery County Public School does not care about your child’s mental health! They fired over 60 Mental Health Professionals this past June! It’s so unfortunate. They talk the talk but don’t walk the walk…it’s all for show! I want to see what happens this year … they will realize they made the wrong choice not having general education social workers In school buildings!!!

@genni_b00 You can sit in your office all you want, but the genuine truth reflects off of your schools, which ALL have records of violence, a horrid history of not doing anything mental health wise, and just iverall ignoring the main problem. I remember I was a kid and I was getting bullied so bad I didn’t have a single friend, and it was VISIBLE too, not a single one of my teachers or other staff reported or even helped me. It’s not the students who are the problem, it’s the county. Your budget that goes to your coffee machines could be used to train teaches accordingly, REHIRING MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TOO?? Like if you don’t have enough to support teachers you already underpay and then complain when you have a shortage of teachers that do not know how to teach or how to even ACT in front of a child is insanity and the amount of weirdos who are given teaching positions are disgusting. That principal at Wooton ? Or that gym teacher? Or that principal at Farquad? I find it INCREDIBLY interesting how they’re people in power, and who granted them that?
