@cordilly69 St Andrews is where I grew up and went to school. So much of what’s on here is the reason I left and I don’t go and visit anymore. The locals needs are pushed aside in favour of the students and tourism. 😢

@dvdcowan I've read recently that regular Scottish students are made to feel like second class citizens in their own country by lecturers and other students. Don't know if it's all like that, but it wouldn't surprise me. Have heard similar stories about Edinburgh Uni.

@zane_ng There are/were posh students, many in the business school, yes. Barack Obama played golf at the old course in 2016 or 2017 yes. But also lots of students just do studies and suffer from different issues. Outside of the three main streets and the Old Course it’s just a quiet town, sometimes feeling very under-developed because you need to go to Dundee for a proper hospital. The sands and Fife Costal Path is beautiful though.
