During the work, water is being routed to homes through temporary above-ground pipes and hoses. The city says the project remains on schedule, with a November deadline. @scottberger They are replacing water lines all over the city, in stages over several years. There are also neighborhoods in south Minneapolis with the lines above ground right now. It’s not a controversy… if you’ve driven around the city at all over the last two years you’ve seen the construction neighborhood by neighborhood. I can’t wait to have my hundred year old service line replaced… something I want my taxes to pay for - clean reliable drinking water.

@a42yearoldarab Every year stupid Minnesota starts projects that obviously won't be complete by the time it freezes. MNdot does it on the highway too then will just leave it half assed till the next year.

@gadbois_travis It’s not progressing. After working 16 years working in industry I got let go this spring. Instead of increasing bids and completing jobs companies are just letting go of employees and taking the completion penalties. It’s cheaper than keeping a good employee
@cjpceramics00 With diesel prices due to illegal war we will likely be having to shovel our own roads to some degree. Please plan ahead and stay safe everyone. Times are getting tough

@mondai.gal Growing up in Robbinsdale, I thought it was completely normal for waterlines to frequently break. I even remember school being closed after a water line broke in-front of the school on the main road.
