@huffcraft I work with history museums as an exhibit fabrication specialist. Design firms are literally developing “programs” to generate designs for these exhibits utilizing AI and then utilize AI generated images/text in final renderings and graphics. It’s getting so pathetic out here 🙄🙄🤡🤡

@greasebrain_ Even if it's just a simple upscale, it's still nasty and tonedeaf; there should be ZERO compromise on authenticity to make something "look better" at a MUSEUM, that's an open admission that the main priority is customer retention and profit, not providing reliable information. I actually quit my last job at a museum (a Ripley's, but still..) because the company started implementing a ton of AI crap all at once, and it undermined our authenticity so much I just felt gross any time I was in my uniform.

@quwambini There’s a video in the DIA right now of Diego Rivera painting the mural and it totally looks AI upscaled. No respect at all. Totally destroying their credibility.

@dxvidesigns @carbetarian yeah it surprisingly happens all the time! or the rights were signed away at some point. have had older artists from the 60's , 70's have to buy photos of themselves on getty to have the rights to use it , its kinda wild!
