China has introduced a gold-recycling ATM in Shanghai that can melt gold at around 1,200°C, test its purity and weight, and calculate its value based on prevailing gold prices. The machine reportedly accepts gold items weighing more than 3 grams with at least 50% purity. After processing, the value can be transferred directly to the user's bank account, with the entire process reportedly taking around 30 minutes.
