@ruffryderphl @smccannsp @andrewrowan128 Important distinction here: Capital budgets and Operating budgets are separate buckets. Federal matching funds and capital grants pay for fleet procurements like new railcars, but Harrisburg still has to fund daily operations so service doesn't stall. If SEPTA doesn't present shovel-ready modern plans, that federal money just goes to other states instead. 📋🏛️💼

@ericclay I want that brochure. This all comes down to Harrisburg. We had quite a bit of federal funding from Biden trickling down. But Shapiro really needs to make transit a priority. We have Pittsburgh too which has a pretty solid transit system as well.
