A lot of people already wrote off Batman: Of Two Worlds as a disappointment because they expected a massive crossover. But that was never the pitch. This was designed as a thematic mirror: two 8-page backup-style stories showing how each Batman handles the same crime. It’s a tight, focused character study on how different environments and ethics shape the Bat. @batman_book_club Our Batman book club had an instant reaction meeting on Saturday to discuss the book. General consensus was that this was well executed. Some solid social commentary by Snyder and a kinetic action sequence by Javi Fernandez. The use of the color red through each story was interesting (all the baddies are wearing some form of the color).

@steezyt_26 It’s so funny people that thought it was a crossover. Everytime they advertised it they legit said it’s two different stories of both worlds respectable version of the Batman solving the same crime in different ways . Like what where does that say full blown crossover ?

@jdog6704 Tbh I thought it was a crossover in some way before getting it but even after reading it...I still really enjoy getting the issue and it's definitely gonna make me pivot into the current runs of Batman when I finish reading my backlog.

@comic.operator Oh I knew full well what the pitch was, and I was very excired for that. The problem is that they didn't face the same crime and the two stories seemed unrelated and ended incredibly abruptly and unsatisfyingly

@hunnywashere I thought it was a crossover as well and almost felt disappointed when I found out it wasn’t until you said they showing how each works the same case! That’s wildly interesting and waaaaay better than a cheesy crossover

@attractionsmatt I didn’t expect it to be a crossover, but I expected it to show how the different Batman’s handle the same exact situation. It was a letdown for me. Too thin too.
