Music Rewind@musicrewindd Linkin Park returned to the stage for the first time after Chester Bennington’s passing on October 27, 2017, at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The concert, titled Linkin Park & Friends: Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington, brought together the band, friends, and several guest performers to honor Chester’s life and legacy. Instead of bringing in a new lead singer, Linkin Park performed without anyone taking Chester’s place. His absence was deeply felt throughout the night, while the crowd helped carry his vocals during some of the songs. It became an emotional celebration of Chester and everything he meant to the band and fans.
