I know it’s easy for me to add my opinion as someone who doesn’t do this full time anymore.. but with declining viewership and a rise in AI, local news has to adapt and this is one way to do that. In no way am I supportive of anyone losing their job and as I said, this looks stressful and challenging. Would love to hear your opinion in the comments! video: @carolineontv

@raythetr3 This is NOT saving local news from AI. This is sacrificing jobs to the budget giants so those who make the most in the newsroom can work 4 jobs for one salary.

@jonevanstv It is challenging. Lot to keep track of at the same time. When I punch my own hits in our digital studio, cameras, video and sound are the priorities. Supers are least of my concerns. Not easy, but with live streams taking over, being able to do it keeps me relevant in my 60s. Again, this is just one person’s opinion.
@justinbrowntv Been streaming in this exact format twice a day, 5 days a week. It is a lot, AT FIRST. It gets way easier as time goes on. It’s fun and more free-flowing without a script and prompter! And news moves more that way everyday!

@not_short_925_ Fox does this on a national level, and it's also done in other markets, including LA.
@fitlife_noey Glad I had Fox pay for my continuing education and I got out, due to the conversations the past couple years. I wanted out on MY terms.

@heymannyg If this is where we are going, at least I hope they are getting paid accordingly (like way more than just above minimum wage). And to be fair this exactly what streamers are doing, it’s just that TV stations might have some better equipment to do this on.

@judayahmurray Hey🙋🏾♀️ I do this for Philly and used to do it for Atlanta, but I also fully produce the shows myself! I may do a debunking video, I see a lot of people getting things wrong in the comment section of every video I see👀👩🏾💻 I love your take!

@carnell664 These videos from the anchors are half brag half cry for help IMHO. It’s just a matter of time before they replace the newly labeled “digital journalists” with an AI digital journalist.
@wlemminktv Totally valid opinion. The tech is there and ready to be used. It’s a much more informal newscast but it’s one I think that a lot more people would enjoy.
