In the 2006 Pixar film Cars, Michael Schumacher made a memorable cameo by voicing a Ferrari F430 character based on himself, credited as “Michael Schumacher Ferrari.” The character appears near the end of the film at Luigi’s Casa Della Tires, after Lightning McQueen recommends the shop to him. Luigi and Guido are so excited to see the famous Ferrari that they comically faint. The cameo was a fun crossover between the world of Formula 1 and Pixar’s fictional car universe. Schumacher was one of the most recognizable racing drivers of his era, so his appearance gave motorsport fans a special surprise while adding another layer of realism to the film’s world. It remains one of the more memorable celebrity cameos in Cars.
