Katta-kun was a famous pelican from Ube, Japan. 🇯🇵🦩 He was born in 1985 at Tokiwa Park and was raised by humans. In 1989, when he was four years old, he began flying about 800 meters every day to visit a nearby kindergarten. He would walk around the school and spend time with the children and teachers under their supervision. Katta-kun continued visiting the kindergarten for many years and became well known across Japan. His regular visits made him a familiar presence at the school. He died in 2008 at the age of 23. #japan #pelican #facts #nature #knowledge
