@blakebrockbank The biggest roadblock is the mentality that you need to be holding a stick. Teaching young goalies to ditch the stick and get a second glove will be one of the best ways to develop goalies but people struggle to change from the old traditions

@netlockacademy The amount of ice time is probably the biggest problem especially for younger goalies. It’s also usually the root of other problems

@nextflighthome Availability of people who specialize in goalie training. Team practice sessions rarely have any instruction for the goalie. They're just supposed to get better by reps and having the team shoot in them. We have a dedicated goalie coach, but it's one for the entire club (all ages, all teams) and we rarely see him
