Only one of two back-up power generators worked but kept powering on and off forcing TSA agents to reset its screening machines. Meantime, the Hawaii National Guard flew seven dialysis patients from Kauai to Oahu on a Chinook helicopter. After arriving at Kalaeloa airport, EMS transported the patients to a dialysis facility in Salt Lake so that they could continue their life-saving treatment. #HawaiiNewsNow #Kauai #HurricaneRecovery #Hawaii

@toniatthevineyard Why are people surprised there are delays. They knew the hurricane was coming so either stay and deal with it with grace and kindness or next time plan to leave ahead of the storm.

@itshawaiianangelos All these news is seriously adding more and more to the fact that Hawaii is so far behind in disaster preparations. If that hurricane eye hit the islands exactly, way too many of us are going to be struggling while it's going to take an extremely long time to restore power, rebuild, etc.
@je.mi.lo I don’t feel sorry for tourists who knew the storm was coming and could’ve left sooner.

@whiteclawfightclub Who stole the 250 million airline ticket fees ? F::k 1 generator and as a 12 time tourist passing thru LIH …. Remember you pay a airport facility fee on your ticket to prevent this yet the Kauai govt stole these fees

@rootsruns I bet the people wish they had the SuperFerry now and regret protesting against it. A better option than dealing with TSA.
