Kyle Clark@imkyleclark United Airlines was planning a 9/11 flyover in Denver that could have looked eerily like a hijacked plane. A few hours after we asked questions, the state suggested it might not allow its fighter jets to be used for the display and United canceled the flyover.

@tonytonesf Yea that’s smart. I’m sure us later generations are still traumatized from 9/11 and that is something that should amounted well in advanced to its community.

@darius_banea Planes being trailed by fighter jets is what happens when they call in an emergency, or don t respond to ATC. That would happen in case a hijacking was declared, so i m not sure how people wouldn t think of a hijacking upon seeing it. That is, if the alerts weren t given out. Even then though, it s a stupid idea.

@sarah_manzo I don’t know what world this was even considered a good idea, but it’s just not people would immediately think the worst and for good reason still to this day when I see planes or helicopters close to buildings. It freaks me out to this day so I don’t know how this seemed like a good idea.
