The Flaking Stage 🙈👄 If your freshly tattooed lips have started to flake, peel or look patchy — don’t panic! This is a completely normal part of the healing process ✨ As your skin heals, the superficial layer naturally sheds, taking some excess pigment with it. Your lips may look lighter, uneven or even like parts of the tattoo have disappeared. Please don’t pick, scratch or peel the flakes off. Let them shed naturally and allow your skin to heal. The colour you see during this stage is not your final result. Once the skin has fully healed, the pigment will gradually settle and the lips will continue to soften and develop.
