Els | Quinta Maluhia@quintamaluhia 🍅 The lazy way I preserve our summer tomato harvest When you have more tomatoes than you can eat fresh, stop simmering them for hours on a hot stove. This is the easiest way to save them for later with zero boiling required. Wash tomatoes, remove stems, and cut into chunks. Blend until completely smooth. Pour the pulp into a container with a bottom spout or spigot and leave it in the fridge overnight. By the next day, the pulp separates from the excess water, which settles at the bottom. Simply drain the water, then ladle the thick tomato pulp into bags to freeze. I use this thick pulp all winter for quick sauces, soups, and stews. ❌ Don’t throw away the tomato water!It is packed with intense flavor. @kipawa_kamp_life More lazy: freeze the tomato and put it in sauce with canned San Marzano. Sauce will be watery - cook pasta in it.

@chef.jjmartinez I don't know if is the laziest but it's one of the smartes I've seen, plus you get that tomato umami water. 🙌❤️👏
