@boonsquad27 So these women claim to not know who these five guys were, they thought they were tradies. But when they were locked out of the room, they rushed up to Sydney swans officials in the lobby, demanding to be let back into the room. Let that sink in for a minute.

@isaac_henare I’m not condoning what was said here by Tom but this was probably before everyone found out that it was actually a sexual assault matter key words being big story developing it could have been that they were on drug charges or public intoxication and nuisance but still like I said I don’t condone what Tom said

@micheal74952 This entire affair has escalated well beyond the facts presently established, and the Sydney Swans’ handling of it deserves scrutiny. Five players admitted breaching club standards by drinking late and allowing paid adult entertainers into a hotel room. The club was entitled to sanction them for those confirmed breaches. Everything beyond that—including reports of illicit drugs and sexual misconduct—remains allegation. No charges have been laid, and current reporting indicates the players have not been accused or interviewed over the alleged sexual assault. That distinction matters. Yet the club’s sweeping apologies to virtually every woman connected with the organisation have created a public impression of guilt before the investigation has established what occurred. Questions should also be asked of the entertainment business. What risk assessment and safeguards existed when sending workers into a private hotel room where customers had reportedly been drinking? Examining those responsibilities neither excuses misconduct nor blames alleged victims. The alleged victim or victims deserve dignity, protection and a thorough investigation. The players and their families also deserve procedural fairness and the presumption of innocence. Punish proven policy breaches. Investigate every allegation. Support everyone affected. But do not replace evidence and due process with corporate damage control and a media-driven kangaroo court.

@antonycrowther You know what grinds my gears - getting publicity trialed by fkn posts like this without a single interview, charge etc. How about we all shhhhhhh until we know what happened. And then if it’s true, you coo your right whack. These blokes have had their lives turned upside done and publicly humiliated by an ice head junkies allegation (all while lawyering up with $200k demands) while they all remain nameless.
