And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,” Ephesians 2:8 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/eph.2.8.ESV This is such a wonderful picture of us being chosen by the Lord to be saved and putting faith in him. That it is not by our own doing, or by an action. However, it is still important to get baptized. It’s a symbolism to the Church of what God has done to our lives, and that we have put our faith and trust in Jesus. ❤️ We are predestined by the Lord, the Grace and gift he gave his children to be his children of the Lord can never be undone. Baptism doesn’t save you, rather it symbolizes your faith you have put firmly in the Lord, and your sin being washed away through the Lord.

@watchpraylove The illustration is good but it is the shed blood of Jesus Christ that cleanses us from our sin. Jesus suffered and died on the cross the he was pierced on His side and the blood and water came out. Baptism is a symbol of the dying of our old self and arising of our new self ready to walk for our Heavenly Father.
