This is my first attempt at creating a self-watering clay olla mini ecosystem with small plants and sheet moss. This plant is a resurrection fern (Pleopeltis polypodioides), which I harvested from a live oak tree in my back yard along with the moss (which was a pivot away from sphagnum moss after reading more about this process). I’ve seen other folks use a mixture of mud and milk/heavy cream but I opted to use aquarium glue to adhere the plant and moss directly into the damp, unglazed clay olla. This is the first of three plants I added so be to follow along to see how I attached the other two plants!
