Can the M.A.T be used as a verifiable Self Defense Technique, absolutely. In some cases you just have to tweak it a bit, in order to show the complete lethality of the technique. But we practice these movements to understand the entirety of the art form. This is what Non Traditional Martial Artist don't understand. But that's okay.
