JimCantore@jimcantore What can you say after 40 years have passed like a flash of ⚡️. When I look back at the luck, the hard work, the wins, the losses, and the milestones, it’s all always about the ride. Too many people to thank really when it all started with my dad recognizing that I was a weather geek. It was under his suggestion that I chose meteorology as a career. But like any suggestion or even skill, you alone must do the work. I had no problem with that as I’ve always been a driven person. What I didn’t know is how many wonderful colleagues, people and friends I would encounter along the way. That’s still happening, and I’m forever grateful for this. I just want everyone to know it’s been an honor to serve you over the years. That’s always gotten me out of bed in the morning. Is there anything more motivating? Not to me. What’s next? Well, I am going to continue @weatherchannel for the foreseeable future doing what I still enjoy and feel like I make a difference with even today. Thanks TWC for taking a chance on a kid from Vermont with a full head of hair and a passion for weather. In the end, I hope I’ve done as much for you as you’ve done for me and we both continue to keep people as safe as we can when Mother Nature has a bad day.

@barbva66 It’s rare in any industry to be in one place for 40 years. What an amazing accomplishment Jim. Some of my favorite memories are the infamous thunder snow(s) and when I saw you at the Winter Classic from a distance. You are wonderful metrologist but even better human being, that is apparent in all you do! So glad to hear you’re not stopping!🎉👏🫶🏼
