Reel by Roots Dojo
After years of teaching over a thousand students, I have seen a resurgent pattern: students do 90% of the work, and give up within the last 10%. The idea of BELIEVING in yourself and your movements is simple but not easy. Believing doesn’t mean working harder or more intensely. It is made of 4 distinct but connected elements: 1) Be clear with yourself. If you aren’t clear with what it is that you are trying to accomplish, why would you intention be transmitted into whomever or whatever it is that you are trying to influence. 2) Do not give up. Stay the course. Maintain direction and remain firm and focused in your belief and intention. 3)Be a little bit more patient. People tend to give up just a little too early. Their psyche gives up, because they don’t believe that what they are doing is working. 4)Avoid tensing up more than necessary. Work with the least amount of tension, strength and force. Stay gentle, but firm. Draw you power from your inner state. BELIEVE in what you are doing. This applies to every facet of life. If you can master this kinetically, it will symptomize in every aspect of your life. #martialartist #systema #growth #roots
