@alpha_squared interesting socioeconomic factors that interact with the greek-car relationship - Greece adopts the old fleet of northern european countries playin an important role in the recycling vehicle marker within the EU. There is active and high business with importing secondhand vehicles in athens - Close to 3 million people live in athens while the total population of Greece is 10 million. Centralisation in the city centers means high traffic roads, in a network that was never designed to support them. - Greece acquires plenty of highly skilled mechanics operating in their own mechanic shops to support the increase in vehicles and the older fleet. This means low labour costs for servicing vehicles. People are not tied to the dealerships
