Home became the best-selling coronation single in American Idol history. Gone Gone Gone followed. Everything looked like the beginning of something. Then his label froze him. He filed a lawsuit against 19 Entertainment claiming they had manipulated him into jobs and controlled every aspect of his career. They counter-sued and claimed he owed them a million dollars. He was legally blocked from releasing any new music for three years while the case dragged through the courts. Three years of silence from the man who had just won the biggest singing competition in the country. He won the lawsuit. He got out. He came back. Eight surgeries to finish the show. Six hours on the table to survive winning it. Three years blocked from the thing that kept him going through all of it. @spindoc220 When he first started on the show, I felt like he sounded a lot like Dave Matthews. I was predicting that he would win from the very first show. I pretty much stopped watching the show after they screwed him over.
