Rio Cavapoo | Cutest Head Tilter@riocavapoo đPRO TIP: Program Alexa to Distract from Barking 1) Using the Amazon Alexa app, go to Settings and click âRoutinesâ 2) Then click the plus sign (+) on the upper right hand corner to add an âEvent,âand then choose âSound Detectionâ 3) Next, click âDog Barkingâ, then click Continue 4) Then it will ask you to choose the Alexa device youâd like to use if you have more than 1 5) Then it will ask you to âCustomizeâ the action. You can create multiple actions when Alexa hears the dog barking sounds. You can set Alexa to call your dogâs name like in the video, and say your preferred dog command words to call your dogâs attention. Just type in the phrases youâd like Alexa to say to your dog when your device recognizes barking. You can follow up with sounds. You can even add calming music for dogs to play for the next 2-5 minutes. This truly works for me. Just be patient, itâll get better the more it activates. I recorded this video to demo Alexa. This was from the first day of activation so Rio was in the process of getting used to it. NOTE if you want Alexa Say a phraseâ> after you choose âSound Detectionââ> âDog Barking,â it will open a ânew routineâ page, scroll down to confirm schedule, â> then âAlexa Willâ â> Add Actionâ> if you wish to say a word, click âAlexa Saysââselect âCustomizedâ at the very topâŚproceed to type the phrase⌠6) Set up a schedule. You can schedule this routine according to your work schedule so it only activates when youâre not home. 7) Change it up regularly with something newâ like a new voice, words, soundsâ especially if your dog has grown numb to the routine. 8) If you donât like itâ or youâre home and want your dog to feel less agitated, simply say, âAlexa, CALM my dog.â Alexa will usually play proven calming music using your music app. Use technology to help train your dog! @goforgold58 Set up eventually but the voice has no intonation in it. It just says blandly Oliver stop barking. Needs to be more for forceful đ
