Cora Jakes@officialcallmecora My best friend and I weren’t pregnant together… but God still let us raise our girls together in special milestones in their lives. 🤍 Amauri came into my life at 3 going on 4, Amauri was around the same age as my Goddaughter, Camille Brionne who was 4 going on 5. In one of the most tumultuous seasons of our lives, God reconnected my Bestfriend and I and what we built, beared, and lived out through pain, prayer, and perseverance… produced THIS moment. Our girls. Debutantes. Straight ASeniors. Both got jobs. Driving. Young women. 🌸 Last night, I was a full-on emotional mama/God mama. Watching Amauri and Camille step into who they are becoming… resilient, radiant, and covered the way they have been only God could write a story like this. Amauri, my baby… I am so proud of you. Watching you be surrounded by love, even meeting your abuela for the first time, was a moment I will never forget. I love the era you’re in. 💕 And Cami?! My God daughter baby… she didn’t just show up she DOMINATED the day. From her debutante ceremony ➡️ to a track meet ➡️ to helping a friend ➡️ to coming back and serving her God sister… and STILL arriving like a whole goddess?! Chileeee… she is a runner, she is a track star FOR REAL. 🏃🏽♀️✨ To say I’m proud would be an understatement. God, thank You for letting me witness this moment. I don’t take it lightly. I pray a special covering over my girls and every senior and parent navigating this senior season—because baby… our hearts AND our wallets are overwhelmed. Hallelujah. 😂🙌🏽 And let me say this… we didn’t just send our girls off beautifully we did it in a my best friends new home a home ONLY God could provide. 🏡 Watching my best friend, who has been fighting to provide stability for her kids being a single mom of FIVE, finally step into stability and answered prayers has me undone.
