🪅 Berlin basically runs on street parties. Here are the big ones in 2026, the kind you’ll probably regret missing: ▪️May 1 — Tag der Arbeit / May Day Kreuzberg goes full chaos (in a good way). Protests, street energy, people everywhere until late night. 📍 Kreuzberg, mainly around Oranienstraße & Görlitzer Park area ▪️May 22–25 — Karneval der Kulturen One of Berlin’s biggest street festivals. Parade on May 24. Costumes, music, food… Kreuzberg just feels alive. 📍 Parade route: Frankfurter Allee → Hermannplatz 📍 Main festival area: Blücherplatz (Kreuzberg) ▪️June 21 — Fête de la Musique The whole city turns into a stage. You’re just walking around and randomly finding live music everywhere. 📍 Everywhere in Berlin, especially Mauerpark, Görlitzer Park, Museumsinsel & random street corners ▪️July 25 — Christopher Street Day (CSD) Berlin Big Pride parade, then the whole city turns into one long celebration. 📍 Main parade: Leipziger Straße / Charlottenstraße → Brandenburg Gate ▪️August 15 — Rave the Planet Parade This is Berlin techno on the streets. Big floats, loud sound systems, and that collective energy you can’t really explain. 📍 Straße des 17. Juni (Tiergarten → Brandenburg Gate stretch) Bonus: ▪️October 9–18 — Festival of Lights At night, Berlin basically changes mood. Buildings, streets, everything turns into art. 📍 Citywide: Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower, Museumsinsel & major landmarks ▪️December 31 — New Year’s Eve @ Brandenburg Gate Huge open-air countdown. fireworks, crowds, a bit messy, very Berlin. 📍 Brandenburg Gate / Straße des 17.
