@johnkennedyvaughan I’m a ski jumper. Tore an ACL and delayed surgery to complete at Nationals. Walter Lowe over in your neck of the woods helped me with a knee dislocation later in life. My experience skiing with the torn ACL was that cutting and landing was no problem without an ACL. The problem for me was when I kicked the ramp and my body lifted away from my skis…then the joint would separate. Ultimately I could not compete with the torn ACL but as a down hill skier you never kick a jump. You absorb them. All that to say I suspect her torn ACL didn’t hinder her skiing or wouldn’t unless she were to lose control of a ski. I was worried she would dislocate her knee if she got in trouble. I suspect the fracture didn’t have anything to do with her ACL. The way she fell her skis were in front of her. That’s always bad news. Then the edges caught and twisted violently. It was a terrible crash with even worse results. I agree with you in prayer hoping she fully recovers.

@nikkihays11 Have a schatzker 6 from 2011 MVA now bone on bone. I was a level one trauma in a near fatal car accident nonweightbearing on all extremities. Before this I was a third year medical student. I am currently in skilled nursing because a car hit me the other day so now I have had another car accident but nothing to the tibial plateau this time just both ankles. Bimaleolar chaos. T12 burst, sacrum, Olecranon etc Blah blah. She is insane to have gone back after all her injuries. She is going to be an agony for the rest of her life.
