drawings@pencil.drawing.skills Most beginners struggle with portrait proportions. The Loomis method makes it much easier. Start with a simple circle, add the side plane of the head, then place your guidelines for the eyes, nose and mouth. From there you can build the jaw, chin and facial structure step by step. Once the structure is correct, refining the details becomes much easier and the portrait starts to look realistic. Save this if you want to practice portrait drawing.
