Chapters & Chill → Reading Retreats & Group Travel@chaptersandchilltravel ♡ So excited to share my new bookish tattoo! I have a few smaller tattoos so this was my first “real” tattoo lol. I knew I wanted something meaningful but couldn’t decide on the design so I sat on it for a few years. Then I read ACOTAR earlier this year and fell back in love with reading like so many other women. I grew up loving Harry Potter and remember waiting on the edge of my seat for the next book (and movie) to be released (I also have a Harry Potter tattoo) I loved twilight and the hunger games, even Lord of the Rings. Then being a grownup happened (can I also say how overrated this is lol) and going to school, working and having kids took over and reading took a back burner. I never stopped loving it but I am a bit obsessive when I read and do not like putting a book down if I’m into it, so it just didn’t fit with my lifestyle. Then I went away with my husband without kids and read 5 books over the week and I was in heaven. Reading all day and romantic dinners and fun in the evenings. It brought me back into reading and made me feel like myself and not just a mom again. Then I officially joined the Romantasy cult and I’ve read more books this year than I had over the past 10 years combined. I use reading as a way to escape the chaos of this world and it helps my mental health substantially (even when I’m sobbing over fictional characters). I finally feel like myself again, and am owning my bookish, Disney adult era. This tattoo represents my love of reading and getting lost in a fantasy world, with nods to ACOTAR and Throne of Glass being my two favourite series.
