@amineamine03 A photon does not know that it is being observed. To detect it, we have to make it hit something: a detector, a screen, an atom. When the photon hits the detector, it transfers its energy and its path changes or it stops. Unlike a ball, which can be seen without being destroyed, a photon cannot be measured without being altered. In physics, observing a photon always means interacting with it. Nothing mystical. @colonights06 it's never about the observer I guess.. it's more about the speed of the particle. without the observer, we assume that it split and went through "at the same time" based on the process we used.. but maybe, just maybe.. maybe the "observer" and the "process" we used are not in sync. maybe our "observer" process is way too slow to catch up with how the particle actually went through.. this phenomenon may actually have something to do with "light" just like how we can observe a particular "star" far away from Earth. we may see its light but the truth is, that star has been long gone and we only saw its delayed portrait based on the details that the speed of light provided in our "observer" process
