Mary Markarian@mimosas_and_samosas RUSSIAN BEET SALAD😋 You NEED to make this! Full recipe ⬇️ INGREDIENTS- 4 beets cooked and shredded 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup mayonnaise (optional but I wouldn’t skip it) 3/4 cup chopped walnuts 4 lg cloves crushed garlic Handful chopped fresh cilantro or parsley 1/3 cup pomegranate arils Salt & pepper to taste. DIRECTIONS- Cook beets by either steaming, roasting or boiling until knife tender. Peel and shred them using a mandolin with the thin julienne blade attachment. Add the remaining ingredients, gently combine and garnish with more pomegranate, walnuts, and cilantro. Serve chilled! Guarantee you’re gonna love this one so be sure to save it! @tatewing This is an amazing salad and you can also try without garlic and pomegranate, but instead with dried plum! You won't regret!❤️ Also as the ingredients can suggest, actually, this is an Armenian salad that during the Soviet time, travelled to different member countries🥰 The Vinegret salad though, I think is more Russian and it has beetroot, pickled cucumber and kidneybeans (really good also)!
