Two and a Half Men is an American sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn that aired on CBS from September 22, 2003 to February 19, 2015. The series originally starred Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper, a hedonistic jingle writer, with Jon Cryer as his brother Alan and Angus T. Jones as Alan’s son Jake. The show centered on Charlie’s Malibu lifestyle being disrupted when divorced Alan and his son move into his beachfront house.

The sitcom ran for 12 seasons and 262 episodes, becoming one of CBS’s highest-earning programs at $3.24 million per episode in 2012. After Charlie Sheen was fired in March 2011 following a public dispute with Lorre, Ashton Kutcher joined as billionaire Walden Schmidt, who buys Charlie’s house after his character’s death. Angus T. Jones reduced his role in season 10 due to a religious awakening before departing the show.

Later seasons introduced Amber Tamblyn as Jenny, Charlie’s long-lost daughter, and Edan Alexander as Louis, a foster child in the final season. The series remained popular on streaming platforms like Peacock, where clips of Charlie and Alan’s comedic conflicts continue to draw viewers.
