About Rayna Foss
Rayna Foss-Rose is the former bassist of nu-metal band COAL CHAMBER, recognized for her goth style and braided hair. She joined the band in 1994 and played on their first three albums before leaving in 2002 to focus on motherhood following the birth of her daughter Kayla in 1999. Nadja Peulen replaced her as bassist during Foss-Rose’s maternity leave and became the permanent member after her departure.
Foss-Rose was reported missing by the New Orleans Police Department in September 2021 after last being seen on September 7 by her group home manager. Her daughter Kayla Rose later issued a public statement via Instagram confirming that Foss-Rose was safe and not missing, clarifying confusion from the viral news report.
Foss-Rose was previously married to SEVENDUST drummer Morgan Rose, and the couple divorced in 2003. She originally worked as a dance teacher before joining COAL CHAMBER after being encouraged to audition by a coworker. The band reunited in 2011 without her involvement.
