About Progressiverock
Progressive rock emerged in the late 1960s in the United Kingdom as artists broke from standard pop structures. It blends rock with jazz, classical, and folk influences, often using long compositions, concept albums, and complex time signatures. King Crimson's 1969 debut In the Court of the Crimson King is widely seen as the genre's defining release.
