About Mlsnextfest
MLS NEXT launched the 2025-26 season on September 6, 2025, with MLS NEXT Fest as its first major showcase from December 4-15, 2025 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds and Reach 11 Sports Complex in Mesa, Arizona. The 12-day event features over 1,000 teams from 200+ clubs across U13 to U19 age groups, with more than 30,000 players competing in 1,850 matches. It serves as the largest youth soccer scouting and recruiting event in North America, drawing hundreds of professional, national team, and college scouts.
The festival includes the MLS NEXT Fest Showcase and Generation adidas Cup Qualifiers, where MLS academies compete for seeding in the 2026 Generation adidas Cup. Red Bulls Academy U18 faced Seattle Sounders FC at Arizona Athletic Grounds on December 5, 2025 as part of the event. Additional key dates for the season include Generation adidas Cup at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida from March 27-April 4, 2026, MLS NEXT Flex in Frisco, Texas from April 23-28, 2026, and MLS NEXT Cup in Salt Lake City, Utah from May 23-31, 2026.
MLS NEXT is the elite youth development platform in North America, now including 273 clubs and over 43,000 players following the addition of the MLS NEXT Academy Division. The program operates as the pathway for top youth talent ahead of professional and collegiate careers, with partners including adidas and Allstate.
