Mańe

The term "mane" most commonly refers to the long hair on a horse or lion’s neck and head, originating from Old English. It can also describe a person’s thick, long hair informally. The word appears in arts and entertainment as well, including the 1990 Kannada film Mane by Girish Kasaravalli and the 2026 song "Mane" by GloRilla and Pooh Shiesty.

"Mane" is also used as a name in music and culture. The Malayalam song "Maane" by Titto P Thankachen and Joel Johns was released in 2021, while indie artist MANE has released tracks like "Over & Over" and "My People". The spelling "MENA" is unrelated, referring to the Middle East and North Africa region.
