K Karisma Kapoor/K’s K Biwi No.1/K look remains one of her most iconic 90s Bollywood styles, defined by a bold red Banarasi saree paired with matching bangles and gajra in her hair. The 1999 film showcased her as a confident wife delivering sharp one-liners and “revenge dressing” that became a cultural reference point. She later shared on National Handloom Day that her love for sarees and Indian handloom began during this film.
The look combined traditional Indian wear with 90s glamour through bold lips, precise eyeliner, and a sassy attitude that fans still recreate today. Costume designer Ashley Rebello also recalled that during a song shoot, a metal dress he designed pricked Karisma and caused her to bleed, but she continued filming to avoid delays.
