Ignotes

HCL iNotes is a web-based email and collaboration client that gives users browser access to HCL Domino mail, calendar, and contacts. Originally released as IBM Lotus iNotes, it runs in full, lite, and ultra-light modes to support broadband, slow connections, and mobile devices like the iPhone. Administrators can control settings through Domino policies and enable offline access via Domino Off-Line Services.

ICANotes is a separate cloud-based electronic health record system designed for behavioral health professionals. The platform handles clinical documentation, treatment plans, billing, telehealth, and practice management for therapists and psychiatrists. Founded by a practicing psychiatrist, it focuses on compliance and clinician-centered charting for both outpatient and inpatient settings.

The name “iNotes” has also appeared in third-party apps like the iNotes sync tool that connects iOS Notes with Evernote for two-way note syncing. Context determines whether the reference is to HCL’s collaboration software or ICANotes’ healthcare EHR.
