[鸭米] During my walkabout in Bukit Purmei, I was surprised to spot Mr Tan, owner of the coffeeshop at Blk 112, right inside a stall, busy chopping duck meat! I found out that a stall at the coffeeshop had recently been vacated, and Mr Tan decided to take it over himself, bringing his years of F&B experience to the neighbourhood with his very own duck rice and duck noodles stall, 鸭米. 🦆🍜 Mr Tan started his F&B journey in his 20s and his braised duck is prepared with more than 20 types of herbs and spices, with the duck carefully marinated before it is cooked. I had the chance to try his duck rice, and it was indeed… 鸭米/yummy! 😋 The tender braised duck went especially well with his homemade chilli, which added a nice kick to the dish. 🌶️ If you are in the neighbourhood, do drop and give 鸭米 a try, and support our local hawkers. Sometimes, the best finds are right in our own neighbourhood!
