2,375 working women told us what matters to them at different stages of their lives — and their message is clear. Flexible Work Arrangements matter. But workplace culture matters just as much. Women need to feel safe asking for flexibility when they are starting families, caring for loved ones or navigating different life stages — without worrying that doing so will affect how they are viewed at work. The survey also surfaced areas where more needs to be done. Breastfeeding mothers continue to face practical difficulties finding the time and private space to pump at work. Women going through perimenopause and menopause want greater awareness and understanding in the workplace. These are not simply women's issues. They are workforce issues. If we want women to remain in the workforce and continue growing in their careers, our workplaces must evolve with them through the different stages of their lives. Thank you to the 2,375 women who shared their experiences through the Women Across Life Stages Survey by the PAP Women’s Wing and NTUC Women and Family. At NTUC Women and Family, we will continue listening to women and translating their lived experiences into advocacy — for greater workplace flexibility, better support for caregivers and working mothers, and workplaces that understand the different life stages women go through. Women have told us what they need. Our job now is to keep working on it. #EveryWorkerMatters @papsingapore @papwomenswing @ntucsingapore @ntucwomenandfamily
