MBTA@thembta We're thrilled to receive $53 million in federal funds for three @mbta_cr projects. With funding from the @federalhighwayadmin's annual redistribution process, we'll invest in constructing our Widett Layover Facility, a new, fully accessible Newtonville station, and helping to decarbonize Fairmount Line service. By collaborating with @massdot, we were able to identify and secure available resources to support multimodal transportation across our network. @benp762 Would love to see frequent Regional Rail along the Worcester Line through Newton to Riverside using the out of service track from Auburndale to Riverside….even considering this is the United States, with low expectations for rail service, this is a project within the realm of possibility.
